Okay, this is a rant on the CD-i games. First, I will be covering the Zelda CD-i games. Link: Faces of EvilIn this game, Link has to save Koridai from the evil forces of Ganon. If you have seen the opening cutscenes, then you know what I am talking about. Okay, there were many things wrong with that cutscene. First off, Link is suppose to live in a village or house that is faraway or near the castle of Hyrule, like in Link to the Past, for example. Second, the player is not suppose to know who the main bad guy is, but what the idiots did was spoil it for us! I mean, in Link to the Past, everyone thought the villain was the wizard Agahnim, but further in the story, you realize that it was Ganon. Since the game's cutscenes are painful, I shall spare you the nightmares by skipping to the end. Basically, you fight Ganon, who doesn't look like ANYTHING from the games. In the regular games, Ganon looks like a beastly, blue boar or a Male Gerudo, but in this God Forsaken game, he looks like what happens if you cross the Mayor of Prickly Pines with a wizard! You wanna know how to beat him? Go on, guess. Shoot a Silver Arrow a him and strike him? Nope. Have Zelda help out and then strike him? *buzzer noise* Wrong! You throw the Book of Koridai at him and he is dead. That's it! No final strike. No last words. No victory music. No nothing! You just go in the next room to wake Zelda. YOU CALL THAT AN EPIC BATTLE?! GOSH, I CAN MAKE A BATTLE MORE EPIC THAN THAT PIECE OF CRUD! So the ending go like this if you haven't seen the cutscene. Link recues Zelda and Link is called the Hero of Koridai. Worst ending ever. In short, if you found a CD-i on eBay, dont buy it. Stay the heck away from this piece of crap. I don't think it needs to be said anymore, but Faces of Evil is the WORST Zelda game to ever surface on the demon seed that is the Phillips CD-i. After seeing the cutscenes, I think it might be best for everyone if Link was a silent protagonist. I'm done. Kitendoc out! ;D

I think that everyone on the internet knows how pathetic the CD-i games are. :0 It was so dumb it was hilarious. XD
If anyone buys it... it's mostly for the lulz factor, not for the game itself. :0

I'm not going to explain how bad Wand of Gamelon is. It speaks for itself that shows how sucky it can be. From the King doing those stupid hand gestures that make him look like and ex-rapper, to the guy with the rings in his hands that I don't know who he is, really. I mean, at least in A Link to the Past, you get to see an epilogue of what happened after the defeat of Ganon, but no. I hear about this traitor scrubbing the floors in Hyrule and Link came out of nowher after Zelda smash some woman's mirror after she told her to stop looking at herself and they end it with the King and Zelda laughing their heads off after saying of a feast! I mean, gah! This game is just so stupid!
If you don't know what I mean about the regular games having better endings, go play Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, any good Zelda game out there if you have the chance. Because compared to the good Zelda games and these abominations to games, the endings from the good games are WAY better! Trust me on this.

Yep, and that's how YouTube Poops are born.
Also, Hotel Mario is not a true Mario game. New Super Mario Bros. is a good Mario game. Yoshi's Island is a great Mario game. Super Mario 64 is like the king of good Mario games! Hotel Mario is not a good game. It is a sin of nature that needs to be burned.

CD-I was a mistake.. it actually never should have happened. only reason Phillips made it is because of the disagreement with Sony and Nintendo and Nintendo had to give some the rights of Zelda and Link to be misused this way.. at least Nintendo had NOTHING to do with the production of these lame games and they don't have anything to do with real Zelda storyline but they are funny and lame and stupid. a lot of parodies which are golden were born cuz of it though (only good thing about them lolz)

You wanna know the most terrible voice acting is in Faces of Evil? Just watch these two clips. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWN3B7HY-s0www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GfTiCqQ0j0You hear that? That is the most terrible voice acting in the game so far. And it's an evil wolf character whose voice sound like a 12 year old. I'm not going to say anything about it, but that was just pathetic! Whenever you see a wolf character, you expect it to sound really awesome and totally scary, but all they did was hire some twerpy kid to do the voice acting! Jeez, Brad Pitt can do a better acting back then!

^ I thought the voice acting could not get any worse till I watched the 2nd video. I don't even have anything to say about it, no words can describe how bad it is.

Oh, and here's another disastorous CD-i Game. It's called Zelda's Adventure and it is just truly appalling. Just watch these cutscenes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O_ZPR2q7cgwww.youtube.com/watch?v=-IFFWVBfNn8After seeing these cutscenes, all I had to say was, "What the Heck?!" Don't even get me started on the last boss. I mean, in some Zelda games, you don't have to face every single boss in the game, well, except for Wind Waker, but that's about it. And Ganon does not look like the Ganon we know and hate. He looks like a freaking Cyberdemon off of Doom. WERE THE DEVELOPERS TOO LAZY TO PLAY LINK TO THE PAST?! Man, sometimes I always wonder why these companies went bankrupt, and I know the answer to that. It seems that since the games were bad, the companies who made the CD-i games obviously went bankrupt and were out of the job. That's my theory and I'm sticking with it. In the immortal words of the Fat Mann Judgeth on YouTube: Goodnight, and Godspeed! P.S. I think the credits at the end will at least let you find those developers and teach them a lesson.

I've never played it, but I read your post above and saw that you disliked the game, but you never explained why. Let me explain. You see, Hotel Mario has some of the most cheesiest lines ever and they break the fourth wall. Plus, before Mario and Luigi were voiced by the famous Charles Martinet, they were voiced by Mark Graue, and man did he make them all gruff. Also, the gameplay is not a platformer, but more of a puzzle where you close doors. Yes, doors. So, instead of beating the bosses by jumping on them until they are dead, you hae to close doors. That's all I have to say.

CD-i: The only thing worse than the Sega Saturn or Dreamcast...

hmm Dreamcast and Saturn aren't bad systems though.. I've played many systems and I think the only bad thing Sega did was release too mcuh stupid hardware (anyone remember the 32x or Sega CD? worthless attachments that didn't even improve much gameplay). Dreamcast may have been the fall of hardware for Sega, but it did have some good games (as did the Saturn). CD-I doesn't have anything useful except for something that can become a parody. only reason they had those Nintendo rights are because of the stupid agreement that Nintendo and Phillips had (which is only because Sony and Nintendo didn't do create that SNES add on which actually would have been amazing since Secret of Mana would have used it).

Well, at least there's one thing about CD-i that's positive: They just made a mockery of themselves.
