^that's exactly what i said when i heard about Lumpus "not being the scoutmaster" ...like...it really doesn't make much sense.... the only reasonable thing i can think of, was that Lumpus was scoutmaster for a bit, but Hooha (or somethin) was going to fire and replace him with that steer....and then Lumpus locked him in a closet

While these two episodes are definitely not my favorites, I think they served as pretty good closure for the series. I do agree that they could've done the series justice by extending the final episode a bit and writing it not quite so randomly, but hey, that's CL's style, I guess. I was a bit surprised (in a good way) that the series had any kind of closure at all. I thoroughly enjoyed "Peace Frog"; it's the sanest Lumpus has acted in a while, and it was an excellent development on his character. As far as the jokes and gags go, it isn't one of the most memorable episodes, but as concerns character development, I think it's dynamite (at least for Lumpus fans). Plus, I loved his new outfit. "Lumpus' Last Stand" is, I have to say, by far the strangest episode I've ever seen, but it works as a final episode. The concept of not doing laundry is so like him, yet it kind of weirded me out when he got the idea to paint on clothing (it went over my head at first, that's how off-the-wall it was to my mind). It did help to further the point of Lumpus being crazy, although I was kind of heartbroken to have it end like that. I mean, Lumpus is far from perfect, but after putting up with him for five seasons, it kind of felt anti-climactic to have him taken off as a lunatic. The only thing that keeps me light-hearted about the whole thing is that it was Tom Kenny's idea, and the Heffer-esque scoutmaster. That was a perfect finishing touch. I guess I'm just sad it's all over...but, I also couldn't picture it ending any other way.

Sorry about my earlier comments. I was just bummed knowing that it's all over now. Here's my analyzation about the show: -Lumpus and Jane Doe get married.
-Lumpus is sent to a sanitarium (lolz!)
-The real scoutmaster is older Heffer(?)
-CL takes place about a dozen years after RML.
-As hinted by "Spacemates", Lazlo and Patsy eventually get married.
-As hinted by "Spacemates", Chip and Skip and Nina eventually get married.
-That's all for now....

It seems like they just rushed through the last episode to get it over with. It was like any other episode, except they had to come up with something real fast to throw in randomly and call it good. Poor Lumpus, he deserved a better ending than that, lol

The ending to Lumpus' Last Stand was completely different than what I thought it was going to be like. I thought Lumpus was going to check on the "real scoutmaster" in the closet. But I guess I was wrong. That episode did however gave me a brilliant (in my opinon) fan fic idea...

I think Peace Frog really shows that Lumpus may have a good side after all, while in Lumpus's Last Stand, it shows that Lumpus can be a bit insane.

I hate to say it,but if this is how the series ends,I feel like a giant fist punched me in the face, sending teeth flinging out of my jaw. I realise some loose ends were tied, but everything else can be done. how can that steer run the camp? where will lumpus go?

Maybe they could do a spin-off starring Lumpus and Jane, and how Lumpus has to find a different job. It was an idea I thought up a while ago.

that would be sensible, but hopfully it won't be when plucky got his own spin-off. that was a trainwreck from the start.
