I kind of feel sorry for Edward in the end of that episode. This proves that the Squirrels can be lunatics when it comes to celebrities.

I'll have to wait till friday to see a rerun of this eppy-soddie. That Jefferson Airplane/Beatles themed chase sequence for hard Days Samson was great. I didn't know Gretchen could get so giddy, but I think it was the idol worshipp that clouded their minds. A rampant weakness for girls.

I assume the Bean Scouts are a little less that 13 years old because it seems they have not hit mental puberty (They don't like girls in ways we do)

Yeah, when Edward saw the Squirrel Scouts chasing Samson, I thought he was going to say, "Hey, how come Samson's the one getting all the girls?" or something like that. Apparently he really doesn't girls in that way. Yet.

Well I wasn't disappointed at all with the new episodes.
The ending to the big weigh in kinda surprised me. Usually when one misses with ones uvala it causes vomiting not umm...egg-laying. Still I think that made it even better. "Ahhh...How Precious."-Clam and Raj in unison "Why you psychotic salad spinner!"-Lumpus to Chef McMeusli. That was so freaking hilarious to me.
Oh and what can I say bout hard days Samson. You know it's kinda funny how in one episode poor Samson can be so invisible and then a few episodes later become the desire of all the squirrel scouts just because he looks like the latest heart-thob on the cover of their magazine. Intersting to see even Patsy giddy over some one else rather than Lazlo (though I still feel it will be Lazlo/Patsy all the way in the future). Kinda sad though that just as Samson was about to accept the fact he had become a chick magnet, Clam and Raj put that doctored magazine through and sent them flocking for poor, unsuspecting Edward. Still it was nice for the tables to be turned on Edward for a change. Really liked Chip and Skip's involvement in this episode. I hope from this I can develope some dialogue for them in my stories. Right now I still can't come up with much of anything for them yet. Later.

The Big Wiegh In: I felt so terrible for Lazlo when he didn't get a lollipop. Nurse Leslie didn't even have the heart to give him one, even though he had thought that he already did. I thought it was really funny when Slinkman was cheering Lumpus on with the eating. I loved the part when Edward got frustrated at everyone for putting thier lollipops in the hole to grow a tree. And, to his suprise, a lollipop tree really did grow. And we also find out that Lazlo wieghs 35 pounds. I hope that's normal for a monkey! I was pretty happy that Chef McMeusli got to be in this one, even though it wasn't for very long.
Raj & Clam: How precious!
Edward: Go get your own artificial flavor to suck on!
Clam: Not dead!
~~~~
Hard Days Samson: I really loved this one. Samson was so cute with the scarf on and riding that bicycle. Gretchen has been really wierd in the episodes...At one point she's about to rip your head off, and then at one point she's girly. I thought it was really cool that Samson was finally getting some attention. When Samson and the girls ran by the Pinto Beans, I really thought that Edward would be like, "Hey, how come Samson's getting all the girls?" I guess he doesn't like them yet. Raj in his hairnet was hilarious. That would make a great icon. Raj was also a very commited lunch person, because he was very focused on getting the potato salad back to tray. Last time they were on lunch duty, they had run off Chef McMeusli, so I bet they did it again. I was very suprised at how smart the dung beetles were in this one. Usually they don't know what's going on, and who's who. They really knew what they were doing when they were trying to make Samson's day terrible, and entertain Edward at the same time....and on purpose. And they even got food vouchers out of it as well.
[Samson is found in potato salad] Lazlo: You can't hide in there forever! What will you eat? Samson: Potato salad.
There were more funny quotes, but I'll have to think of them.
I liked the big weigh in because it revealed more information on the key character (lazlo) briefly. I love when they give the characters identity. They dont feel as much like "cartoons". Well, yea. Lazlo is a lot smaller than I thought. And I thought he had orange hair, not brown... =\ I also enjoyed the tender moment Lumpus and Lazlo had when they thought they were goners inside the bird. xD
Hard Days Sampson was alright. He is an OK part in the show, but they are going into his character too much, I feel. It seems as if I know more about him than the Jelly trio. Eh, whatever. I would rather there be more episodes about Edward than Sampson personally.
Not the best episodes, not the worst. I still like the series so I suppose thats all that matters.
This is like the 4th episode to center around Samson (so to speak), but that's not a bad thing. Overall, both are good episodes, especially Hard Days Samson...
I saw these episodes last night, so... The Big Weigh In - This was kinda weird, but still funny. I thought that Lazlo had orange hair, but he really has brown hair? Hmm... I was greatly amused at the lollipop tree. I wish that could happen in reality. Then Lumpus going all psycho trying to catch the little woodland creatures to eat, and Lazlo telling him that they're their friends...Loved it! Grade: B+ Hard Days Samson - Wow...a whole new side to the Squirrel Scouts is revealed. They go all googly-eyed for a celebrity look-alike, and Samson is freaked out. *coughKarenwouldnotbeimpressedcough* This is my favorite out of the two episodes, hands down. It even included the Jelly Beans trying to help Samson, Edward making fun of Samson (but getting wooed over at the end and...whatever the Squirrels did to him...), and Chip and Skip getting a big role as well! Grade: A+
I was finally able to see all of this episode:
The Big Weigh In I thought this was an OK episode. Not the greatest, but at the same time, not the worst. I was laughing so hard when a lollypop tree really did grow out of the ground. I thought Lumpus went absolutely nuts when he went crazy trying to get himself fat. It was otherwise a good episode. Grade: B
Hard Days Samson Now this was much better than the other one. I was laughing really hard during the chase montage. And that gag with barging up the doors and windows with wood, all coming from the back of the cabin, cracked me up! Grade: A
I loved all of the Beatles references in this. For example, 'Hard Day's Samson' is from the song 'Hard Days Night.' Then there was also the Beatles style guitar solo while Samson was being chased. And the way they were chasing him was obviously Beatles!
I'm listening to tthe Beatles right now!
