What I don't understand is that if Camp Lazlo is doing so well with ratings, and an Emmy, why did they cancel it?

What I don't understand is that if Camp Lazlo is doing so well with ratings, and an Emmy, why did they cancel it? Because the media is stupid like that. I just hope that all those things do happen in the "possible finale" especially the Lazlo/Patsy pairing. I'd hope it happens and not something that took a dump on the pairing like "Lazlo's First Crush" did.

sounds like he was forced to stop production I'm very, very angry at who did this to Murray, since he was forced. If they're going to do that, we, the fans, should fight back. We all love Lazlo, and they should not take something away we love. That's not ok. >_<

I highly doubt there's going to be an actual "finale", guys. I can't recall any series doing an actual finale (except The Angry Beavers maybe, but the final episode was never broadcasted.) that bridges all the gaps and such. My guess is that it's just going to be another episode...so don't get your hopes up or anything.
I think that 2005-2007 is pretty short for a cartoon (especially one that accomplished as much as Lazlo did!), but then again... most cartoons are canceled within the first/second season these days.
Hopefully they'll still continue to show CL in a regular timeslot... then maybe, maybe if the ratings are really high, they might bring it back.

Okay let me sort this out a little bit by doing a little thinking. So there are currently 56 episodes of Camp Lazlo that have already aired, this is including the TV movie, and according to Joe Murray's website, there will be a total of 61 episodes of Camp Lazlo. This is leaving 5 episodes, yet to be released. In his blog it is stated that there will be Christmas special, that is to be aired this year. "We are currently finishing up the last Camp Lazlo episodes,, we will end up with 61 all told ( a good run), and I'm proud of almost all of them! By November, all of the episodes will be delivered. Not sure when they will be airing. But there is a Christmas episode coming out this year."
SPOILER ALERT: "Santa almost gets killed by a meteorite." [/spoiler] Also according to this blog, it says that Camp Lazlo started production back in 2004. So really it's a 2004-2007, but whatever, your guess is as good as mine. --- Hopefully they'll still continue to show CL in a regular timeslot... then maybe, maybe if the ratings are really high, they might bring it back. It's quite possible, I mean an emmy is a big score for an animated series. Not to mention that other shows have also had that big break too. Futurama as you probably already know is coming back next year, due to the high ratings it was getting on Adult Swim. Then their's Family Guy, believe it or not is was actually cancelled twice. Once after season 2, and the second time after season 3, due to the high ratings on Adult Swim, and high sales in DVDs. So yeah, it has a small chance, but if it's still watched under a certain time slot, it may have a shot. I just hope that all those things do happen in the "possible finale" especially the Lazlo/Patsy pairing. I'd hope it happens and not something that took a dump on the pairing like "Lazlo's First Crush" did. I hate being a downer on your statement, but I honestly think that they should just keep as a regular episode, and just let it end. I mean if the whole plot with all the loose-ends tying up seems too cliché and predictable. Rocko ended with that Thanksgiving episode, and it lives on. Perhaps Camp Lazlo should do the same? --- So yeah, Camp Lazlo is going to end pretty soon, but don't get discouraged. I mean, can you imagine Camp Lazlo having a longer run? The show would start going downhill, due to very stale episode, face it shows run out of ideas, and start getting stale. So yeah, Camp Lazlo had a good run, and lets enjoy the last episodes that Murray has to offer, and once it ends we'll let it live on, as did Rocko.

^ I couldn't have said that better myself. as Neil Young once said, "It's better to burn out Than to fade away" pretty much meaning to end it while it's still good rather than letting it go downhill somehow. doesn't mean the show can't be continued in a while (which would be cool, but somehow I think it won't happen). anyway, I had a good time watching this show and it caused to me join a forum dedicated to it which I have never done for any other show prior to this. I'm glad I could be a part of this community which I wouldn't have been able to without CL so we should all remember the joy it has bought to our lives and let it live on within us. I think we should all write some kind of huge thank you letter to Joe Murray describing how much this show has done for us.

Joe was forced to close down? Grrr...
But CL had a good run (2004-2007) anywho, let's be thanful for that.

And plus, there's a saying that "all good things must come to an end." I'm certain that they'll still run the re-runs on CN, and you can bet I'll still watch them. And I'll still be here on this website, chattin' away with my fellow CL buddies.
And yeah, Joe Murray does deserve a huge thanks for bringing us a great show.

Yeah. Thanks, JM! IMHO the show was actually starting to go a little downhill for me,(getting too random and the potty humor was starting to increase, and I hate potty humor with a passion). But I love it anyway.

yeah, I didn't so much like that penny for your dung one (grossed me out quite a bit, although Clam had some funny expressions and quotes for that episode but that's about it). still like.. one of my fav shows though! glad I could find some CL merchandise too (although most of it is so rare to come by). glad it didn't "sell-out" so that's all we see everywhere (I hate it when shows do that because they become a "product").

I'm deeply saddened by this. one of the only good remaining CN shows is about to end. unless they rerun the episodes,I'm going to download every episode and put them on DVDs for my own enjoyment and never turn back to the channel or the majority of TV altogether.

I think it would have been too cliched if they did the L/P pairing.

^ I would actually prefer if that didn't happen also. I'm not really looking for any type of finale' or ending episode but rather just another episode. That's just a fan pairing and doesn't really offer any significance in the actual show, although there are some "hints" but then again almost any other pairing has some type of ground for how "possible" it might be (most of the time anyway).

^ L/P is uhh... not a fan pairing, yo It's canon. But yeah, I agree... a "finale" ending is just to cliche and stuff. OR... maybeeee... they broadcasted the episodes out of order on purpose, so "Hallobeanies" would be the actual ending of the series, because everyone leaves camp in that episode? OR... remember that Thanksgiving episode that was suppossed to premire like 2 years ago? Maybe THAT will be the last episode premire, just like Rocko's was!

Actually, I was expecting Lazlo and Raj to like another girl, but Patsy tries getting Lazlo back simultaneously.
