Yup; Season 4 is over and we're well into Season 5. Lately because of Kaz leaving, JM hasn't been keeping CL in tact (the show's getting too random, characters like Hooha haven't been shown lately, pairings (Lazlo/Patsy) haven't been shown lately, and it's going by fast) Hopefully they'll fix these problems, maybe by making a finale featuring them. Otherwise, CL is practically finished....

Murray doesn't write the scripts. He is like... the director or something (I like, don't pay attention to the seasons of the NOW). Kaz worked on some of the recent episodes. I don't know what it would be like if he leaves, so yeah. Kaz worked on Baby Bean if you paid attention to the beginning credits.
I kinda don't understand why it would matter whether the end is near or not. I just enjoy them as they come.

Same here, plus there's still hope yet for another season beyond the fifth one.

Before this turns into a 'CL-is-finished-before-it's-time' thread, let's enjoy CL while we CAN. When it's ON, and never shown because it's time slots are filled with Chowder and five other new shows that are coming to CN in the next year or two. This is exactly what happened to Class Of 3000. Out-Of-Jimmy's Head filled it's time slot of 7:30 AM on Saturdays. I'm just going to enjoy CL before it comes to the point that it'll never come on anymore..(Which I highly-doubt it'll come down to that point.) and CN not relesing DVD's for it.

I honestly doubt CL will be finished any time soon... I mean, come on, it's been nominated for 2 Emmy's (and apparently won one~!). Sure, new episodes might stop coming soon, but it'll probably be on for a while. And even if it DOES stop showing, it'll appear on the Top 5 anyway. =P So Camp Lazlo will be stuck with us forever~! xD

just read this today (duno if it is new or old) apparently there will only be 61 total CL episodes with the series officially ending in 2007 (Joe Murray website) on the Camp Lazlo portion: "Cartoon Network 61 Episodes In production 2004 to 2007 Joe Murray Productions & Cartoon Network"
in his latest journal entry: "On to November, the last month of Lazlo production! I think whats left of the crew and I are going to steal away for a day and go to Disneyland. Next week I’m off to Atlanta."
so just 5 seasons which is pretty good for a show

I'm glad his website is back up and running.
I remember once upon a time when I sent the guy an email interviewing him about his new animated series, Camp Lazlo, back in 2005... he said that Camp Lazlo isn't quite his ending point; he's still going to create more shows (and hopefully be as fun as Rocko and Camp Lazlo). What does bum me out was that I was too young to take the internship last summer to actualyl go to CN studios and meet him in person. I thought if Camp Lazlo did continue beyond Season 5, then by this summer I'll be able to shake his hand and tell him how awesome he was.
I'll get over it.
Camp Lazlo was a wonderful series, I've got to admit. I enjoyed it; it broughts me smiles when I felt like I needed to complete my smiling quota per day. We sent him a birthday card and even if his reply was short, he did appreciate the fanbase we got here (however, he's probably gonna sue our butts when he discovers that we're distributing Camp Lazlo episode here).
The coolest thing Murray said to me about becoming an animator in my email was this:
"...there is a big difference with being in love with animation and cartoons, and being in love with the idea of being the creator of a cartoon show. The latter usually don't make it. You have to feel as though you would keep doing it no matter if you made money off of it."
I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
Yeah, I got caught up in the moment, so yeah. HAHAHAHAHA! Anyways, I love this cartoon along with Rocko and wish there was more episodes to come. But alas, nothing lasts forever. It's for the best.
If Murray does create a new animated series, and if people are here to stick around with us, we'll have our own little mini-board for it so we could continue on the fandom.

in his other journals (I read the 11 pages or so which are pretty small) he mentioned continuing on another show immediately afterwards but didn't provide too much information (although he did provide the name of a film called Fishing).
Oct 17th journal: "I’m putting aside some of the work on the film to work on my new series project. I’m pretty excited about it. I’m just trying to figure out where it’s home will be." so I guess it could be on any channel..
September 6th: "I'm really needing to think about the projects after Lazlo. I have my film, but I also have another series idea and a feature treatment I'm working on." he's also working on a film too:
August 15th: "When I have time away from Lazlo, I work on "Fishing"."
July 9th: I'm doing the storyboard for "Fishing" while doing post for Lazlo, so it's a constant switching of gears. It's nice to have the time to noodle the storyboard panels for"fishing", but I need to cut it loose at some point, like I'm forced to on Lazlo.
I will be sure to check out the next series he creates, both Rocko and Lazlo bought happiness to my life and I'll still be fan watching and praising his work. his first journal sounds like he had to stop production on CL for some reason..

I've really enjoyed this show and I still will. Five seasons is a really good run for an animated series.
It just seemed to have gone by pretty quickly in my opinion, but I'll get over it. There will still be quite a big fan base on here, deviantart, fanfiction.net, and other various places to love that large group of misfit scouts.
Gotta love what Murray has done to make the series a hit, and I look foward to any future projects he has lined up.

It seems like a yesterday when I first watched, has it been that long already?! I definitely won't forget the show, it has gave me years of joy. I wonder what Joe Murray future projects will be like?

Geez, first my Great Grandma dies, and now I hear CL is about to end (hopefully not) but i hope JM makes a finale that has things like the camps becoming friends, Lazlo and Edward becoming friends, and Lazlo/Patsy becoming a boyfriend/girlfriend.

I don't think there's a chance of the show "surviving" seeing it's beyond Morrays control at the moment (or it sounds that way at least). sounds like he was forced to stop production, but he will make a new animated series so that's cool.

Yeah, that would be nice... I'd also hope for Lumpus to finally confess his love for Jane. I'd almost like the ending to be an open-ended sort of thing, where the campers (Lazlo, Patsy, etc.) return from twenty years ago and they've brought their own children to attend Acorn Flats and Camp Kidney, and the ending features the kids riding the bus off into the sunset towards the camps we fans knew and loved for five seasons.
