I was slightly disappointed. I was expecting more from the episode. Like net, I was also guessing for a twist, like Patsy in a mermaid costume but it didn't happen.

Hah! For all you guys thinknig it was Patsy, YOU FAIL!
Seeing that many of you have missed it (is that a fad or something?), I won't spoil it as much as I can... but then again I could do whatever I want, so haha.
Lazlo's First Crush: What I liked about this episode was it's retro humor with the "contests." I liked Edward's role too, since I would have done the same thing. What actually made me laugh in this episode was when Raj and Lazlo were halucinating in the cabin and were dancing with eachother. The scouts watching from the window were all like, "WTF!?!?!?!" and I was all like, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The ending was predictable to me. No no, not the identity of the mermaid, but Samson's second appearance. I'd like to finish this paragraph with the episode referencing to Godzilla, Jurassic Park, and The Odyssey (yay suicide, emos).
Living La Vida Lumpus: Lumpus is such a whiner, I'm starting to not like him ever since he went through reverse puberty. Lazlo's tpye A personality goes away, but what I didn't get was how good he bottled it inside and denied all the stupid fun stuff going on. What I liked was when Lazlo was mean to Edward. I don't know the exact thing he said (something like, "dumbguyssaywhat"), but I remember in middle school, many kids would do that, but make it a bit more immature.
These episodes didn't float my boat. The concept of love was gross and the lame ending of Living La Vida Lumpus was cheap.

I found it funny that Raj was saying "dude" like 50 times in Lazlo's First Crush. XD I guess he was trying to act "cooler" or something.
I was dissapointed at the fact that Patsy wasn't in the episode ;o; I would've loooooved to see their reactions if the mermaid actually WAS Patsy.
The actual look of the mermaid was funny XD Everyone was all like "eeeewww" XD haha.

I had a feeling from the opening scene that Lazlo's First Crush was gonna be real interesting and I was right. This one was so well done to me. Lazlo and Raj's response to Clam's question of what does love feel like were priceless, especially Raj's. I'm surprised Clam doesn't remember how it feels considering the brief crush he had for Gretchen in Love Sick. Loved the contests between Raj and Lazlo. Nice of Raj to let Harold assist him with his little interpretive dance number. He's pretty good with the bongos. Another funny scene that will stick with me is them hallucinating that the other was the mermaid. That's what too little oxygen will do. This will be one of my favorites. I do kinda wish Patsy had a role though. As for Living La Vida Lumpus, I was not expecting Lazlo to actually take on Lumpus' personality. I have to say that though Lazlo is made out a lot of times to be a little dense, he's a great actor. I really bought into him being all grumpy like Lumpus. I didn't see it coming when it was revealed that it was all an act. And the academy award goes to Lazlo for his very accurate portrayal of Lumpus. Another fine new episode. One thing I'd have to say that's remotely negative is Raj saying dude. It was nice and funny and different the first time around but then using later in the episode and then in the Living La Vida Lumpus one too was a little much for me. It just seems a little out of place to me for Raj. I kinda hope that he want be using that work habitually every episode here after. Every now and again though it would be fine dude hehehehe. Great stuff. Take care everyone.

It's a shame that Patsy didn't even show up in the episodes, considering Lazlo felt the one feeling that she wanted him to feel: Love. Weird. If only he felt it for her.

I just saw these episodes last night.
Lazlo's First Crush I found this episode to be very hilarious. I loved Lazlo's itnitial reaction to the mermaid and his reaction to his "three minute anniversery." Things then really got funny when Raj comes into the love triangle. Their "contests" were hilarious, all leading up to Lazlo and Raj's halluciation/ballroom dancing scene. As for the thing with Patsy not being in this episode, I'm both for and against her not being in it.
For: If the mermaid turned out to be Patsy, I proboably would not have enjoyed it as much. It would have been too cliched.
Against: I would have liked to see her get involved however, like trying to make Raj win or something. Grade: A-
Living La Vida Lumpus This episode was as equally good as the last one. This episode has shown how greatly pesimistic Lumpus is to Camp Kidney. Gotta give props to Lazlo for pretending to be Lumpus, the thing is that he did it so incredibly well! Grade: A-
Overall Grade: A-
Side notes:
*Raj saying dude was pretty funny in both episodes in my opinion. Looks like he's adapting to American culture, being from India. XD
*It also looks like the Beans have hit that age where they're now into the opposite sex. Like how the Squirrels hit that age when they look through that magazine in Hard Days Samson.
*With these two episodes, Lazlo has redeemed himself after his behavior in Tour Wars.

"Doofussaywhaa?" "What?" xDD
LAZLO'S CRUSH: Well, it was really random, but I still liked it. Raj's constant use of "dude" made me laugh. Aaand at least now we know that Lazlo isn't totally oblivious to what "love" is, even though like all he saw of the mermaid was her sillouhette. I have to say, I laughed alot at Lazlo & Raj's ballroom halluctination, and the reaction from the other scouts. The looks on their faces...xD!
And after they came out, and everyone had placed bets, Edward's like, "You guys just went bonkers, which is what I bet so I win." And he takes all the candy. That just make me laugh. Raj and Clam were pretty cool in this episode when they were being all rude to Lazlo. It was really funny, and Clam's just really freakin cute when he's all mad. The end was ofcourse another one of those crazy endings where they were wrong, and blahblah. I still like Raj's calm reaction though, "She looked pretty underwater."
LIVIN' LA VIDA LUMPUS: At first I thought, 'Lazlo would never change like that, he's out of character!' Buuut of course he came through in the end. I really liked Lumpus in this episode, he was really funny with Raj & Clam trying to get Lazlo to have fun again. Lumpus was funny at the end, playing with Raj in the mud, xD. I think this one made me laugh the most out of the two. And Raj said "Dude!" again. I hope he does it again, it's cute.
Lazlo saying "Doofussaywhaa?" to Edward was really funny, and Edward's like, "What? Grrr very funny Lazlo!" or whatever. Lumpus and Lazlo were so funny, making fun of the bean scouts passing by, especially that anteater kid. They actually made fun of his APPERANCE which...made me laugh.

You know, for some reason, that fish thing almost looks like a Feebas from the Pokemon games. Since both of them do look kind of ugly.
