I copy and pasted this from my review on 'Movie Night.' The Rocko episode I am about to talk about is 'Born to Spawn,' and it's also one of my favorites.
When Lazlo describes the transformtion of becoming a "Big Boy" he says that it happens when the planets align. This is a reference to Joe Murray's other cartoon, Rocko's Modern Life, in an episode in which Filbert becomes an adult. Filbert describes the phenomenon as happening when turtles reach the age of twenty-one, the planets will align, and they will swim to some isolated island to be a grown-up. The episode is mainly about Rocko and Heffer trying to keep Filbert from swimming away to this island for his birthday. Once again, the "planets aligning" is a direct reference to this episode in Joe Murray's other cartoon. These two episodes are very similar.

In the RML intro near the end were Rocko is being chased by a dog if you look in the backround there are 2 green guys (not the people in the toster. Sorry I cant remember the characters names) look like Dave and Ping-Pong. Heres the intro www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNZ52c91X6c

I always thought that the Otter Swim teacher guys from the 'Swimming Buddy' episode were based on the Chameleon Bros. They don't look like them, but they act like them.

Huh...Don't no why it's taken me sooo long to get around to this post considering I'm a big Rocko's Modern Life fan. Really after seeing some old episodes of RML on the Nicktoons channel, I'm not finding many similarities. Sure there is this common thread that has to do with brothers, especially twins. I mean you have the chameleon bros. and then you have on Camp Lazlo not just them otters but also Chip and Skip and Dave and Ping-Pong, though those two aren't identical at least when it comes to length of the neck. I have no problem with this as I am a twin myself. I wonder if Joe Murray has an identical twin or is close to someone who does to have such an involvement of twins in the two shows. On a brief aside, I know I promised to have my fanfic done today but it don't look like it's happening, maybe even for this entire week. Have a nasty staph infection and the medication more than the ailment is making me all loopy. It's gonna take all my energy to do the more important day-to-day tasks. But I can pretty much gurantee completion by the end of the month. You'll just have to be held in suspense for the exciting finish a little bit longer. Take care everyone.

I think it would be so exciting if in a new episode the scouts are in Prickly Pines and you could see Rocko, Heffer, and Filbert in the background buying ice creams or something. That would be so cool!

I pasted this from my post on Chef McMeusli. I bet this character was who they got Chef McMeusli from... I was just watching the Rocko's Modern Life episode called "Camera Shy" and I just noticed something. When the Chameleon brothers are showing the video of Rocko naked in thier "Cameleon Cafe," you can see this character that looks exactly like Chef McMeusli, and he is even wearing hippie clothes. He is sitting at a table with another hippie (the cafe was full of hippies and beatniks.) How wierd is that? I bet that was where Joe Murray got the idea for the character. I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that short scene. Kinda reviving something old, but I saw that too and thought you might enjoy this. VOILA! Chef McMeusli everyone!

I'm not bumping but I am adding here... In the episode "I see London, I See France", the tour guide really actually looks like Chef McMuesli, without the small goatee and different colors.

Cool! That really does look like him. More than the other one. If you like...I don't know..."morphed" them together(lol) or something, then that would definately be Chef McMeusli!

Man, RML was a great show. I watched it as a kid alot, now I'm 16 and I still watch it time to time on youtube, or one of my DVD's. Its interesting seeing BG Rocko characters in another show. That and the leader of that group (forgot the name) Lumpus wanted to join looked and sounded like an old Filburt, possible cameo? ;D
