Call Me Almondine: Finally, another Squirrel Scout episode AND one involving a minor Squirrel Scout (Almondine). It was really cute. I could relate to some of what she was going through, because I try my best to "fit in", and although I do, sometimes it doesn't seem like it's enough. I also liked Patsy's wig and the cameo scene of the Jellies. =) Almondine dressed up as an 80's girl for the wig out, which outraged the people attending the thing because she wasn't wearing a wig, but then Patsy and the otehr Squirrel Scouts stood up for her. It was kind of unusual seeing Gretchen pull her eye out and Nina pulling out her teeth (in the end). However, this pointed out a lesson, and I think it should be directed to girls who don't think they're pretty, or those who wish they looked like supermodels. It doesn't matter what size jeans you wear, or what taste of clothing you have, or WHERE you come from (as in heritage and occupation), you're still beautiful on the inside. And a great personality matters, because looks can be deceiving, and this is true. In the movie "Mean Girls", the head of The Plastics clique is gorgeous on the outside, but evil inside, because she stabs people in the back. In some ways, personality can take away from someone's looks. Anyway, a great episode with a moral behind it! 4.5 out of 5 stars!
Clam the Outlaw: This was HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!! There were times I couldn't stop laughing! I even laughed at the SIMPLIST quotes (i.e. when Lazlo was singing that song with Raj)! Anyway, I loved the scene where Clam gets up and says "PANCAKE DAY!" and then runs to the Mess Hall. Lumpus did the same. "Happy Pancake Day to me!!!" (I said that today just to be silly.. partly because it was my birthday). When Clam poured syrup on Lumpus's pancake (which was on top of his head), that "smiley face" (the eggs and bacon) turned into a frown. "Syrup everywhere. It was horrifying. And YOU Bean Scouts soft it to LAUGH!" Poor ol' Raj freaked when he heard the Marshmallow Roast was being cancelled, until Clam gave the Beans some. That song was cute. So was the scene where Lumpus decides to go on the trip by himself, until Clam stops him. I LOVED the shadow puppet scene. That was HILARIOUS!!! And "Outlaw Lumpus" closes the show with a BANG!!!!! PANCAKES!!!! 5 out of 5 stars!
*By the way, I apologize for the spoilers.
