I think that they may have had a reference to RML in The Book of Slinkman. When Lazlo said that the most important book of all was the comic book, I remembered that Rocko in RML worked in a comic book shop!

The description for Ed's Benedict does sound indeed like a very funny Cow and Chicken episode. (Gotta love the Big Fat Red Guy. Yet another good show that's never on anymore.) Also Netaro I gotta say I'm impressed you noticed the biblical connotations. Though I haven't even seen the episode yet. (I hope to see it very soon. Nurse Leslie over the loudspeaker sounds really funny. The whole episode sounds good from what I've seen you guys say. Makes me wonder if one of the writers is an Edward fan-girl, wearing a fake moustache.)

Oh yeah, is it me or does Samson seem to be accepted by the Jelly beans lately?
but unfortunately, the episode I got didn't have an ending clip...it just has normal word credits (T_T)

wouldn't Edward be the egg's dad rather than its mum?

Edward's girl scream cracked me up! It was after he locked up Slinkman he's like "Now let's make some cupcakes! AHHHH!" So funny, XD. And when Samson said, "Shut. Up." And the scouts acting like men was great, especially Lazlo and Slinkman growing chest hair.

Nothing better than crossdressing cartoons. I was cracking up when they were being exiled to the "Pen of Aversion", and began catcalling Edward when he had to "Be avoided" as well. The ending to that episode was very funny. Machos and cheese they were! (Love that gender confusion. But they did look like they were having fun doing girly activities) Also it's interesting that Lumpus was the only one able to tell the handbooks apart. Actually I think they've made an episode of Rocko's modern life where Filbert (Also voiced by Mr. Lawrence, what are the odds) is carrying around and nurturing his soon to be hatched egg. Bury it in the sand?

^OMG! I remember that episode, classic one too. Looks like they again paid homage to RML.
You also gotta love Lazlo's face when he screamed comic book. That had to have been the widest smile I've seen on the show.
Another golden moment was when Lazlo and Slinkman were going crazy over the new manual in the post office.

"Is it bad to look directly into the Sun?" "....Yes."
I love Chip and Skip in this eppy. "You did sleep funny. Hehehe." and "Don't worry Edward, I leave accidents in my bed all the time!" Nurse Leslie babbling about the egg= pure el oh el. "Baby on board!!"
The tapes about animal reproduction were great, too.
Ed' Benedict= A
---
I personally found Samson super annoying in this eppy. DX
Underwater hairstyling had me on the floor. And girl Edward, too. But nothing tops Lazlo yelling, "THE COMIC BOOK." And "avoid runs in our stockings!" I felt bad for the Beans when they said avoid them.
The Book of Slinkman= B-

I also found it very surprising that Lumpus knew the difference between the two manuals, and he's one of the stupid ones!
I also kinda figured that Slinkman should have been able to see that it was the Squirrel Scout manual due to the fact that he was the Scoutmaster of Acorn Flats in one episode...

Well, better late than never in putting up my review. Ed's Benedict: The better of the two. It appears that Lazlo and co. have made amends with Samson over the last episode. Edward's reaction to his 'egg-laying' was priceless, so was Nurse Leslie's repetitive announcement that he left his egg in his office. Edward acting all motherly somewhat creeped me out, but thank goodness that it was all a joke from Dave and Ping-Pong to get back at him for his insult that only ducks lay eggs. Oh and LUmpy and Slinkman have to get recognition here for the reaction when Edward told them he was 'expecting' and their reactions when every Bean Scout wanted to know all about 'that'. GRADE: AThe Book of Slinkman: One word: Weird! The bean scouts following the squirrel scout code?! I'm surprised they didn't notice after that cake activity when they were on rollerskates. Though I really got laughing seeing Edward in a dress! WOOT! However, when they got to the code, I was a bit surprised when they not only had on the SQUIRREL SCOUT uniforms, but that they all had "AVOID (insert name here)" pages in the Squirrel Scout manual. I'll bet my car that Miss Mucus had that part put in. At least they figured it all out by the end, thanks to Lumpy discovering what it was. Other highlights include Lazlo's 'comic book' grin and seeing Samson doing his mailman job again. He handled it pretty well when Lazlo and Slinkman were making a mad dash for the post office just as he was opening. GRADE: BOVERALL GRADE: B+

OMG, Dave's laugh is so cute, from Ed's Benedict when he calls Edward a beaver. If I had Tivo, I would rewind that part ten zillion times. And I loved Nurse Leslie's Napoleon Dynamite-esque sigh when Edward needed his help. Aaaand the part when Edward is the last to be put in the pin, and everyon'e making fun of him, XD. And did anyone else notice the bottle of wine/vodka/whateveralcohol on the counter in Chef McMeusli's kitchen? Hmm...

Ugh. I didn't like these episodes. I got pretty weirded out when Edward said he would be a "mommy". In The Book of Slinkman, well, I'll just say i don't like watching guys in dresses... Ugh

The reproduction movies scientist sounded like professor Farnsworth of Futurama. Did anyone else notice that

^Yeah, now that you mention it.
I keep thinking that after Edward says he's going to wake himself up from a dream, Skip says, "Kinky!" But I think he says like, "sneaky" instead or something, xD.
So I watched this on CN Video, and I swear I rewound it at least ten times to hear Dave's laugh. It's so cute, I can't help it.
