Uh, I promise I didn't die. Sorry, hotchoc. Thanks for the shout out. ^^;;
Basically, I can sum up my opinions in a few sentences. I personally prefer Edward in a relationship with Lazlo (in the future). For now, I see it as just an innocent childhood crush mixed with all sorts of other feelings. However, if anyone asked Joe Murray the answer, I'd be very disappointed. The fun is guessing and making theories.
By the way, Netaro, I'm sorry that happened to you. I honestly know how you feel.

yea i guess i would to ... i like speculating tho the only reason i want some opposition for this thread is that i'm starting to think we've talked this subject out  that would be sad oh netaro bugs bunny isn't dead in the hearts and minds of the new generation my baby brother for one loves him , tho it's probably cuz i buy so many dvds |

We all know from Squirrel Seats that Gretchen likes Edward. In Temper Teepee they were together again. Let's (hypothetically) say that I think the show's setting up an Edward/Gretchen scenario. Afterall, it would make sense. Edward's kind of girly and Gretchen's pretty masculine. Debate?
As a side-note, I really do love that Gretchen likes Edward. Only as a one-sided thing though. Edward's so not into that gator. Hahaha.

anyway. uh. EdwardxGretchen. i dont think i can see these two working out. maybe friends at best since they have things in common. but as a relationship, i only see them being angry all the time and not progressing at all. if the show IS setting up a EdwardxGretchen scenario....that will make me pretty sad....that totally ruins 2 of my favorite pairings in one shot.
i've always seen good relationships as 2 people with different backgrounds and attitudes and despite that, find each other and heal each other and learn from one another. ((maybe i'm just a romantic like that...or i read to much Kare Kano + Sailor Moon))
and so, i dont really see them ending up in that kind of relationship. ...plus. i kinda have a dislike for steryotyped couples...like people pairing up the two angry kids...just because they're angry, even if they dont really suit each other...
friendship however is totally different. Gretchen's used to hanging around a girly romantic (Patsy) and Edward would probaly need a woman's intuition on things (because even if Gretchen's not very feminine, she's still a girl..) . so i totally see her ending up as one of those friends who listens to all the stupid relationship problems her friends vent. like...
Edward: Lazlo forgot to put the toothpaste cap back on the tube argh! i hate it when he does that....
Gretchen: ......yeah yeah...*rolls eyes*
Edward: and then this morning he...
yeah, like that.

i like the fact that gretchen likes edward too maybe just because its like something about her and she doesn't get much screen time (gretchen is my favorite squirrel scout)
or maybe because it contradicts her attatude in space mates or something
gosh i do hope nothing seriosly permanant and romantic hapens to them in the show i'll just die ,it's not right ^^; (although i don't think it'll happen shows like this tend to keep the pairings open ended)
i've never thought they'de make a good couple you see not in the long run.
edward is sensitive and stuff but he's also ,lets face it, a jerk. he probably wouldn't go out with her unless it was because of some ulterior motive or for his own gain or something (same with lazlo but lazlo is amazingly imune to people being a jerk to him) and i don't think gretchen would take it lightly.
frankly i love gretchen to much to pair her up with a jerk ^^
i do hope they'll be friends tho i'd love an ep where they work together or something ^^

Hahaha, I can't hold a Gretchen/Edward poker face for very long. I think it's adorable that Gretchen likes him, but honestly, I'm sure they would just end up killing each other. Edward needs someone with infinite patience and kindness to cancel out his angry and unstable nature. Gretchen... is not that. XD Besides, when Gretchen grows up, I think chances are pretty good that she'd be like... a dominatrix. And I don't see Edward accepting that without a fight. Edward's the kind of guy who will submit ONLY if you know that he's really the one with the power.
Wow, I totally just went into actual sex talk there. Sorry about that. I tend to kink things up rather quick.
Anyway, while I'm on the topic, I'm gonna give all of the characters possible kinks for the future. Gretchen is a dominatrix who bites. Nina likes it with a space helmet on. Patsy dreams of doing it on a bed of roses. Lazlo does it in public. Raj covers his partner in food and eats it off. Clam likes ball gags. Edward likes being spanked (hahahahahahahaaaaa...) The Dungs... uh... ew. Lumpus crossdresses to get in the mood. Sampson does it in a hypoallergenic bubble. Ping Pong and Dave tag-team. Slinkman does it in the backseat of a car.

Actually, I do have something that could possibly start a debate, if not a discussion. After reading kawaiibunny3's comic "Magical Cleanser Sammy", I had to stop and wonder.
... where did Dave/Sampson/Ping Pong come from? Did I miss something?
